Dog Requirements

• Dogs must have a current rabies vaccination (proof required during registration)

• Dogs must be properly socialized

  • Reactive dogs may be asked to leave at the discretion of the instructors. During the class we do strive to maintain space between dogs as much as possible.

Participant Requirements

• Participants must bring their own dog.

• Dog must be friendly and comfortable with people/dogs.

Equipment

• We will bring used gear to try out.

• New gear will be available for purchase after the clinic from Jack and the Pack, or contact them beforehand if you’d like to have your gear ready.

• Basic introduction to skijoring/canicross

• Equipment overview, including proper dog harness fit

• Commands and training fundamentals

• Safety and trail etiquette

• Dryland training drills

• Guided group run/hike on the trail to test out our newfound skills

• Overview of races, events, and local meetups

• This event is weather-dependent

• The clinic is subject to a minimum number of registered participants

• If conditions or minimum enrollment are not met, the clinic may be rescheduled for a later date in the season, or cancelled.
