Jonathan

Minnesota native and Co-Founder of K9 Powered Sports.  With over a decade of experience skijoring, Jonathan has a passion for empowering others to enhance that ancient human-canine bond with their best friends through education and programming.

When he is not skijoring with his Blue Heeler, Baella Hay, Jonathan works as a consultant in the Space sector with an emphasis on earth observation and geointelligence from satellites.

With a firm belief that Skijoring is for everyone – regardless of breed or athletic ability, Jonathan has been involved in putting on educational clinics, informational webinars, competitive events, community meet up groups, and advocating for expanded trail access throughout Minnesota over the last 5 years.

Tyler

Started bikejoring and skijoring in 2011 with his current dog, Buddy. After 50+ races they figure out how to work as a team and even won a few races. You’ll likely see them on trails around the Twin Cities in Minnesota and at race events throughout the upper midwest.

He works for the Saint Paul Department of Parks and Recreation, so any work that gets people to be active, outside, and all together fits right into his wheelhouse.

After all the benefits and joy that Tyler has experienced with Buddy, he is keen to share what he’s learned and encourage everyone with a dog to find an activity that will bring them both fitness and happiness.

  • Courtney Kampf

Courtney has been a lifelong runner and discovered the sport of canicross when they adopted their first dog, Holly, in 2018 and added Theodore in 2021. Their bond was instant, and the mutual love for running together was undeniable. Since then, they’ve been hitting the trails and constantly learning and growing as a team.

For Courtney, canicross is more than just running with your dog—it's a harmonious partnership that combines athleticism, teamwork, and the incredible connection we share with our four-legged friends.
